houdini to maya lost uvs

hey guys,

I exported my alembic cache from houdini to maya, but I didn't get uvs from houdini.
I still have uvs in Houdini.
Anyone had this problem allready?

I tried to transfer uvs from another mesh on top of my alembic cache, but then the uvs are moving.
Because the order isn't right. I tried to change the order, but it didn't work.

Hi, If you post a hip file it's easier to answer. But you can check if the uv attribute is on vertex or points. maybe it's different. also you can use additional uv attribute parameter on alembic ROP and add uv there too. And of course check your ROP for what you are transferring in attribute fields.

yeah,

I read allready and tried to transfer the uv in maya, but it didn't work.

I think, I can shift the attributes with attribute promote, but I don't know how.

It's simple, just put an "attribute promote" sop before your "ROP alembic". change "original class" to vertex and choose uv in "Original name" field after that.

use and alembic sop + an unpack sop for loading and checking your exported model uv in houdini.
