Yon
I exported a bunch of image plane mattes and everything is as it should be when i view them in houdini But when i open it in Nuke there all combined in one "other" layer that is a RGB. There is more then three passes so a bunch of them are missing. they were exported as a float. Seems to be a nuke/houdini compatibility problem...I'm sure this has been encountered before hoping some one can share what they did edit// just use extract image planes option.. wont have a nested exr but solves problem thx Edited December 14, 2016 by Yon Anadeyo
davpe
nuke can't see float layers as far as I know. you have to always export vector.
atrytone
I have the same issue. Sure if you export 'vector' nuke will see the channel in the exr except the channel is black which makes it useless. Houdini's COPs read the float type fine, as does an external app like RV. There must be a workaround for Nuke as this seems like a rather glaring issue that others must have figured. out.
davpe
vector layers work in Nuke. I use it every day. you have to set it to vector in the SHOP as well, not only on ROP node (if you dont, you'll get black aov)
