orinfitchett
Hi all, Recently came across these images, and after doing a bit of digging, found that they're made with particles and layers of noise. i know a lot of the work is in lighting and compositing which isn't too difficult for me, but how do i go about getting better detail with varying amounts of billowing and whispy-ness? Here's an example image of what i've got so far (low quality render/comp)
trzanko
Looks like a good start. Keep pushing it further, use more layers, vary everything. Vary the pscale by the age or distance, make volumes from the particles and sim those. There's no "make beautiful" button just keep at it. chrisdunham95
+1 to the above comment and personally I find the More particles the better, as soon as you get into the millions and using a very small pscale you get nice wisps and looks but render time is pretty long sometimes - Sim wise i often using pop forces and drag or vop pop's to create cool particle stuff - Looking cool so far too!:) Edited March 16, 2017 by chrisdunham95
