JJ FX
Hi, So default setup, nothing fancy. Only enviro light. And my particles render out with bounding box. I have no idea why this is like that on default. How can I render out only my particles, no additional fancy bounding box.
JJ FX
Ok so I rendered the first frame and its actually not a bounding box. Its just a box in the middle. I have no idea what this is. I didnt use any boxes for my sim. The scene is completely empty, only particles, no boxes for sure. I heard that Arnold used to render some boxes in (0,0,0) is mantra doiung the same thing now? Invisible masking box. Just to make the job harder?
Guest tar
yeah no - you have a render flag on a box that the shelf tools have created. Got to ask if you have done any basic lessons for Houdini?

Guest tar
how would we know if you don't upload your scene? Btw are you a 3dmax user by any chance?

I think you are guessing I placed a box in my scene that Im not aware of. No. Here is a single frame, its cached so its 25mb. 3 nodes only: 1) geo > dop i/o 2) env light 3) camera No boxes anywhere. But still there is one on the render. Yes I come from 3dsmax Box.zip
Guest tar
thanks- it's because the not-included simulation has Juice and Start geometry - any reason you haven't deleted those as all you have to do is use a deleteSOP and select those groups and it renders without the box. BTW 3dmax users always seems to have those types of comments like 'Just to make the job harder?' something about the culture there that always blames the software not the users - haha

Im pretty sure I never had to delete any groups to make it working, but... I rarely use H and once I jump back in I tend to forget its a different soft and forget how to investigate things Yeah we do have that But if you had a chance working in max you would probably have the same. Plus need those renders by tomorrow, so its stresful Thank you so much!
