installing Scipy houdini 16, windows 10 problem

I recently installed scipy using this tutorial.

After installation my Python node scripts are interpreted, but any print statements appear to be suppressed.  The console window that normally appears and displays stdout during a cook is nowhere to be found.  Any ideas?

If you have Python Shell tab opened, prints will show up there instead of console.

There is a secondary problem when I launch Houdini I get a popup:

Runtime Error:  Program: C:\Program Fil

R6034

An application has made an attempt to load the  C runtime library incorrectly

zPlease contac the applications support team for more i nformation

I used the same installation method, but I used this distribution instead

https://software.intel.com/en-us/distribution-for-python

 

Had the same error as described above using anaconda but this one worked just fine with H16.5

You can fix this by renaming all files called msvcr90.dll to something else in the houdini docs folder. I'm not sure if that will break any libraries though...
