Marcos K
Is there anyone using ATI MOBILITY RADEON X600 and Houdini? 21959[/snapback] Memory problems? There is a huge openGL memory leak problem with radeon cards running XP... I've been looking for a way around this with no luck. Unfortunately I can't install the latest driver's from ATI's site on my laptop to see if this has been fixed. In my case, video drivers have to be reassebled by HP to work correctly on their laptops and this takes months of delay. I'm getting ready to install it on Fedora, i've heard that openGL is a bit more stable on it... In the mean time you can turn double buffering off wich does cause irritating fliker but your ram will be under control. Houdini and Ati, never again... good luck, Mk HP zd8000, XP, Houdini 8, 1gig Ram, ATI X600 256mb
edward
ATI has confirmed that this is a bug which was supposed to be scheduled to be fixed in their 8.203 version of the FireGL drivers. I think that is supposed to be released in mid-December 2005.

Thanks a lot! mk
edward
I don't know. I did tell them that we found the problem Radeon cards as well.
Marcos K
Anyone tried the new Catalyst 5.12 driver? Wondering if the memory leak problem got fixed. I still have to wait for HP to recomplite it for my laptop... Fingers crossed! Thanks, Marcos
