lisux Posted November 16, 2005 Share Posted November 16, 2005 Hi all. I have just rendered a smoke/fire effect using a smoke like shader with particles rendered as sphere primitives. The render obviously has many transparent sufaces, to get the right effect i have to use motion blur. I choose velocity motion inherited from the particles. With motion blur the render times incraese a lot. Can anybody explian me how velocity motion blur works? and if anybody, based in his/her experience, could advise me about how to optimize render times for motion blurred sprites/spheres(many transparent surfaces with a fast movement) etc ...
