Rafal123
I just wondered, which other industries - not movies and games - use Houdini? In old SideFX reel I've seen something from Nasa or LockheadMartin. If one would like to get a job in diffrent industry using Houdni what are requirements? Demo reel with happy dancing bears isn't the best way I think. Anybody has experience with it?

I do a lot of CAD work and for some clients I could imagine Houdini handeling some tasks. For example virtual reality, with human interaction. CHOPS? In some places reaching for a faulty equipment, and finding a way to carry it out and bring another one in is something that only VR is the tool for planing. One client had this point cloud data gathered from a scanner mounted on an airplane!!!!! I'm sure Houdini could recreate the mesh for the terrain. There is also a lot of procedural modeling and assembly on CAD systems nowdays. I can just start to wonder Houdini integrating with them.
