arx anima is an animation studio in the heart of Vienna/Austria, operating on interdisciplinary levels. Since our inception in 2011 we have soon evolved to cover more than just an animation. Our passion is telling stories and bringing characters to life - integrating compelling design, always focusing on the highest possible quality. We operate in commercials, VFX, games, visualizations, animated series and feature films. The studio is proud of its high-caliber clients, including the Walt Disney Studios, gaming firm Outfit7, and a long list of advertising, VFX and gaming clients. The huge part of what arx anima does is Talking Tom and Friends animated TV series with more than 17.5 billion views across all video platforms.

arx anima is currently looking for a Linux Administrator (up to 40 hours a week), based in our office in Vienna. The Administrator will be responsible for the proper function of software applications that are hosted on multiple security domains. The Administrator will work with the IT Team to incorporate custom modules onto operational networks and assist with software and hardware issues that arise.

Job Duties

• Administer software licensing and system accounts.

• Perform the troubleshooting as issues are reported to formal trouble ticketing.

• Perform installations and patches of custom developed software modules.

• Maintain and upgrade operating systems.

• Maintain a virtualized environment with high availability.

• network administration to optimize system performance.

• Constantly learn about new more effective tools and workflows

Desired Qualifications

• Linux OS, and other operating systems operation and administration, software installations, file system maintenance, user/group.

• Interaction with VMWare products (VSphere, ESXi) to perform basic administration of systems.

• Build reports and documentation of setup.

• Set up hardware

Required Experience

• 3 years’ experience as systems administrator or software developer.

• Strong communication skills.

• Must have the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work in a clean and structured way. Hardware and software. Clean installation.
