kingsoz Posted April 1, 2006 Share Posted April 1, 2006 Hello peeps! modelling in houdini is absolutely no problem, but as soon as i attempt to do something with lights or shaders i get a segmentation fault, whatever that is?! i've tried reinstalling houdini and tried the latest build but i still get the same problem do i need to reinstall my whole machine to solve this? i've attached a screenshot with the error. any ideas would be greatly helpful kingsoz Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
sibarrick Posted April 1, 2006 Share Posted April 1, 2006 Next best guess after using the latest build is graphics drivers. Ati are notoriously flaxy. Hunt around the forums for advice on what the best ati driver is. Also, although you have tried the lastest build, was it the lastest "production" release or the lastest "daily build" I would make sure it was a production release.
