Hedphelym
Hello to you all. I've been lurking around here for some weeks now. First i'll introduce my self: I'm 22, working as Design engineer\animator\illustrator for National Oilwell, and i use 3dsmax for a living. But then i started to get interested in learning Houdini, simply because it seems to be a program that never seems to end, and that has endless possibilities. What really sold me out, was the sample-chapter from The magic of Houdini book, the part about particles. and what he made with it, that's what i want to do some day. Currently i'm going to remake a scene that i made in 3dsmax some years ago, which still is my favourite image : I have stated today to model a bit, still trying to get comfortable with the various modellingtools, and where to find the different things, and how to use it. currently it looks like this : I know it does not look like the image i'm re-creating, but it will, just give me time Used about 1hr untill now.. I will continue to post when i make more. and one more thing: This community here, is the best i've ever seen anywhere on the net, i have never seen anyone so willing to help, and last but not least: share, share files, and shaders and whatever you can, it just awesome. thank you all. and hopefully the image will turn up the way i want it to in the end.
