wyz
Hello Magicians, Trying to make a Vellum Balloon experiment with a kind of dense but not so much (less than a million polys) car model. It's very heavy on sim time and I am not getting good results. Tried already polyreduce, making a VDB of the model and converting back to polys and tetrahydralizing (this gives me lots of interesection errors). Tried also resolving intersections with a boolean sop conecting the model to both inputs. Nothing seems to work. Any tips on how to deal with dense models in vellum? Thanks! mountaingoat
If you're doing remeshing of any kind for your geo before the sim, make sure to cache out the initial state. The Remesh SOP on its own should do the trick. You could always go higher res from a lo res mesh post-sim (unless you need to keep the topology). Also if you're adding vellum constraints such as pressure, it will significantly increase the sim time.
