bilicsko
Hi guys, I would like to create a wet surface setup. Can anyone help me how can I achive that the streams merge once they get to a cetrain distance? (like on reference image) (attached a test hip file) dropletsQuestion00.hip Edited March 29, 2019 by bilicsko
dannyreb
Did you ever find a solution for this? I've spent many hours researching this topic but because there's so much documentation on the 'POP Merge' node it's hard to find information on actually merging two POP trails rather than two streams/groups in the solver. I read about the POP interact node, but again this seems to deal more with applying forces to pop particles rather than actually causing them to coalesce and form one 'streak'. If anyone has an idea where I should start with this that would be great, I'm willing to put in the work myself but a couple of hints wouldn't go amiss! Fenolis
Metaballs have the property of merging when 2 fields are sufficiently close together. You may be able to use them in conjunction with Fuse and POP Kill to combine particle streams.
dannyreb
I'll have a read up on metaballs then, thanks for the tip!
