Align turb noise to follow wood planks

Hello! I am curious how I can align a noise proceduraly that the streaks follow the surface and not be in some kind of spherical projection. This is procedurally generated hull of a boat with wood planks, and I created the uvs proceduraly too which I thought look ok. The screenshot with the uvs is one of the long planks.  

Any help will be greatly appreciated, I am still new to Houdini.
