catchyid Posted August 4, 2019 Share Posted August 4, 2019 Hi, I did a small experiment to understand the relationship between impacts generated on glue constraints and constraints strength. Below are two results: Experiment 1 : Glue strength = 20e9 --> max impacts on constraints = 2,879 Experiment 2: Glue strength = 20e1 --> max impacts on constraints = 286,801.8 My question: why impacts are function of Glue strength? As seen above, when I increase Glue Strength I get lower impacts? Should not impact be function of object mass, speed for example and not of glue strength? You are comparing 2 completely different things - in one case constraints are starting to break - which means more free pieces to collide with = more impacts.
