jhiggins
i was wondering if there is a easy way to home on specific geometry. i have a camera asset that can sometimes contain the viewing frustum as well as other geometry which when i home my scene in the viewport takes me to way far out in my scene. ideally, what i would like to do is always home on my camera body. any help would be great! thanks! symek
"Shift + H" - to home to selected object instead of whole scene. [EDIT] Gosh! I hope I've understood you right, as this is scripting (CodersCorner) forum... you didn't mean some scripting way to home your camera, did you? Although this would be possible also... just check in hscript help "viewls", "viewhome" commands (and opselect in exhelp)
jhiggins
thanks for the tip SYmek, viewhome seems to be what i'm after. have you or anyone else experienced problems using viewhome-s *. is this suppose to work like shift-h or g. i don't seem to be getting a differnet result when using it vs viewhome by itself also, a colleage pointed me to using the select script on the misc tab of objects, which is really cool as well, however, i also can't seem to get that to work using opset -p (other hscript commands work like expected though). my build is 80_474, in case it makes a difference. thanks!
