T-bat
Hi, after seeing so many great fires here I tried doing one myself, but it's not looking good right now. It looks more like some strange fluid .. testout3xvid.avi
Overload
its a good start and decient shader. do you have a specif reference? I would say at first glance, motion needs to be alot faster and more unpredictable.. but good start
T-bat
small update No. I haven't got reference back then, but I have now. And I'm giving this up. Fire is too much complicated for someone with my skills. Maybe I can speed it up a bit more.. But that's all.. And thank you Overload http://rapidshare.de/files/26498084/testout5xvid.avi.html
Overload
Second one looks alot better. There's a bit of "popping" happening, try scaling your particles in and out. Add an attribute POP, and a Point SOP... to control the scale. Dont give up ....
T-bat
I don't know why, but I can't figure out why I can't change metaballs sizes this way .. Problems are in metaball2, copy2 and popnet1.. fire.rar
