frame13
I'm trying to create the rotation of a clock wheel that rotates smoothly for a bit, then pauses, then continues rotating. It's like a sine wave, but instead of coming back down to zero, it levels of, then continues upward. Easy with keyframes, but I need to do it procedurally. I'm very new to expressions and not that bright with math, so I'm having trouble wrapping my head around this. If there is any good online reference that clearly explains stuff like this, please point me to it. Thanks
edward
Hmm ... I wonder if this thread is related: http://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com...opic&t=6039 Anyhow, the Area CHOP may be used. That may give you another look at the problem.

frame13
Thanks Val, that worked great. I'm not sure I fully understand everything there, but I was able to work out the right numbers.
Lyonz
Thanks Val, that worked great. I'm not sure I fully understand everything there, but I was able to work out the right numbers. What would be a good expression to make a clock pointer rotate around its pivot ? so that it ticks correctly every 24th frame ?
