Guest ravin Posted August 13, 2010 Share Posted August 13, 2010 I add the video with more resolution and a hires image. Hey Miguel, I am also working on tornado simulation. I have no experience with 3ds max but I have been trying a few techniques to render using Houdini. Currently I am trying to add an isoOffset to geometry, add a rest node and copy that to the particles. Then I apply a billowy smoke shader but I can see the noise swimming around the texture. I am not sure whether that is noise or shadows. Anyways, do you know a better way to do this in houdini? Or some other suggestions for rendering volumes with particles.
