agentex
Hey all, lots of good info here, I'm very new to houdini. I'm trying to create a fairly generic blood system using particles and metaballs. I've read the older thread on it and thought it was time to update because of the new IsoOffset op. It is inspired by the ballistic system that was used in Ice Age 2, where my normals are the "arcs." Here's my progress so far, I'm having trouble creating a fluid like surface with particles, and keeping it thin. All of the operators seem to be present to pull this off, its just coaxing my particle behavior and then displacing the surface with some VEX? agentex
Looking good man. Keep it up Cheers, Nate Nesler Hey Nate, Great to hear from you! Yep I'm still working on the shots but haven't added the blood yet. Here's an update, got a sweet RBD source emitter going on with an amazing hip file I got from mtucker on the sidefx forum. Here's the link: http://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com...light=pops+dops Here's what I'm working on, this is a bit old but its what I've got on the web. agentex
Here's an update on the bullet hits themselves. Houdini is amazing! This was meant to be a very subtle effect for the dust flying up off old boards, some of the particles in there are also splinter frags. Anybody have any ideas on rendering the dust cloud (sprites etc) or anythig for the muzzle smoke? http://www.digitalperceptions.net/~agentex/bullet_hits.mov
