Ginz
Hey All, I'm trying to export a simple transform animation I made in Houdini to C4D. I tried exporting as alembic but I couldn't find a way to extract the position and/or transform animation attributes from the alembic file. All I need is some sort of a null that contains the transform information so I can use it in C4D. Edit: I've managed to export alembic using a pack node and transform geometry but I only get the Y transformation not the rotation. Any suggestions? Thanks D. paranoidx
Did you figure it out in the end? I need to know how to rotate from Houdini to Alembic import in Cinema 4D. UPDATE: This has been solved. The alembic has two types of transform: The main thing of this, you need a `path` attribute, by assign through pack node or assmebly node, or just create a primitive `path` attribute (Build Hierarchy From Attribute enable) In `Packed Transform` option: 1. Deformation 2. Transformation If the animated object a packed file, then transformation assign is good for both position and rotation For the case of deformation, no rotation it has. https://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini/nodes/sop/rop_alembic.html Screenshot for Transform Geometry: https://imgur.com/a/JInRiuK Edited July 23 by paranoidx
