hmccab305
Hello, I am fairly new to unreal and am having trouble importing a hbjson file from houdini (18.5.563) to unreal engine(4.26). I have all three of these plug- ins enabled inside of unreal engine - Houdini Engine, Niagara, Niagara extras When I drag and drop the hbjson file into unreal engine I get an error that the file is unknown. Any help is greatly appreciated, Thank you
hmccab305
Figured it out!! for unreal engine 4.26 to be able to import a hbjson file you have to download the plugin from Github https://github.com/sideeffects/HoudiniNiagara and place the HoudiniNiagara folder (I renamed it to this and took out the ue4.26 tag on the end of it) inside of program files > Epic games > UE_4.26 > Engine > plugins > FX... place the HoudiniNiagara folder in the FX folder... Then inside of unreal engine you need to enable the plugin HoudiniNiagara.. once it builds itself you will be able to import hbjson files
