johann
This may be a basic question, but I am quite new to Houdini and could not find anything about this topic on the net. I basically want to mimick the behavior of the dome light tk script by sean lewkiw, but with houdini operators. I would be satisfied if I could copy a light of any type procedurally or along points of a geometry. I have dived into modeling quite well, but as far as I know i can not stick a light into a copy sop to instance it. I have tried to create a object network but that does not have any outputs... I am a bit confused if there will be an elegant solution ( I guess in Houdini there is always one) to my problem. Thanks in advance Johann
rdg
You could try light instancing. There is a video describing tis technique: http://odforce.net/downloads/videos/v6/mis..._instancing.avi Georg
