Vellum pin to animation issue.

Recommended Posts

Hello there,

Been trying to find a solution to this for the last couple of days and I'm not sure what I am doing wrong.

I have some lines which are weaving in and out of each other. I wanted to use vellum to get some more interesting motion out of it and also to help with detangling it.

Here are my main issues:

1.  The pin to animation only works as to half of it, just on the bottom part, as the top of the line is being left behind, for instance this is the result I'm getting from vellum (in green) and my original line (in red) on my last frame.

I have turned off all of the forces on the vellum solver to make sure it isn't anything specific that's causing that. Also removed the velocity to test it out to see if it was that. These are my constraint settings:

2.  The next issue I'm getting is that if if I bring back all of the lines, instead of testing out with just one, then the pin to animation constraint breaks. It looks like the guide geometry for the connectivity that it uses,

I have also tried doing for each as I have an attrib for each line, but that isn't really working for the constraint.

Anyone has ever got this issue before?

Any help is highly appreciated.
