altbighead
I did this animation to warm up my hdn skills again. very first version is done. hdn for everything and Fusion for comping. to do list.. better shading and add more detailed pieces for the satellite . may be using volumetric i3d clouds when zooming in to earth. http://www.iamonstandby.com/quick.html
Andz
Yup, the way it comes into scene is really strange... but I just cant see any other way... I've been in the "zoom into it all the way from space" land. And oh boy... it was hard to manage all those maps with only 60 Mb of ram. DaJuice
Hay, that's kickass alt. The rendering looks great, I really like the sequence with the sun coming around and lighting up the satellite. One thing to watch out for, the camera starts zooming in on the Earth while the satellite is still in the shot, which kinda kills the sense of scale and space. And outside of tracking the satellite and the zoom itself, I would keep the camera movement around the Earth to a minimum, same thing with the sense of scale.
