domsalva
Hello there, I am working on a project in Houdini where I need to manage and optimize complex particle simulations. My goal is to achieve a high level of detail while maintaining performance, but I'm running into some challenges that I hope you can help with. I am simulating a large scale particle system that involves intricate interactions between particles and dynamic forces. The simulation looks great in terms of visual fidelity; but I am noticing significant slowdowns during playback and rendering; which is affecting my workflow. I have tried a few strategies so far; such as optimizing the particle count, tweaking the simulation settings; and leveraging the cache, but the performance issues persist. I am curious if there are any advanced techniques or best practices for handling large and complex particle simulations in Houdini. Any tips on reducing computational overhead while retaining detail? Best practices for managing cache files and reducing playback lag? Are there specific hardware upgrades or configurations that might improve performance for heavy simulations? Also, I have gone through this post; https://forums.odforce.net/topic/46859-particle-in-houdini-new-training-series-blue-prism/ which definitely helped me out a lot. Thank you in advance for your help and assistance.
