abvfx
Hey guys, Well its back, the Houdini Online Class, rethought out, planned and most probably.... better. http://www.3dbuzz.com/vbforum/sv_houdini.php As some of you know SESI are sponsoring 3d buzz, the only company i had hoped would sponsor them. And so with backing of SESI, 3d buzz wil be making FREE content for Houdini again. I imagine they will cover an array of topics, from begginer (mostly likely) to advanced. It would likely be project based like the Delphi videos at first then break down certain concepts. To get people into making seomthing then fully understanding it. Will there be homework assignments like the last one, well yes and no. The downfall of the last class was they had only anticipated a small number of people would join so it would be easy to mark homework, even then it would have been a challenge, 3-4 tasks, involving, screenshots, written submission and scene files, all to be examined and certified, but then around 7000 people signed up and submitted content and so the nigthmare began . There will be however contests and challenges. And like the first one that is already up, the winner's entry will become a featured video on how they created it. So im really hoping alot of the really talented people take part, because buzz will do a great job of explaining your network to thousands of people. But this might not be something that is carried through every challenge/competition. All for this for free, cool right. Yep, but even cooler will be when BuZZ and the crew make the Houdini fundamentals, that will probably be the best Houdini content outthere and just incase some of you get the term fundamental mixed up with simple (it can happen, i understand). Their definition of Fundamental is the stuff they think every Houdini user should know to become a proficient user and guess what..... they expect the average Houdini user to know alot, which means there will be aot of content, covering a plethora of topics. Can anyone say, christmas has come early this year? . Hope some of the really talented member here enter the contest, i would love BuZZ to show us how you created it. Again head over to http://www.3dbuzz.com/vbforum/sv_houdini.php For details. -andy edit:// doh, typo in the title, could a mod change it please, dont want to look like a nob hehe Edited August 10, 2007 by phrenzy84
