AntoineSfx Posted February 14 Share Posted February 14 I am looking for a minimal mtlx file with those characteristics: uses: mtlxstandard_surface and mtlx_displacement and doesn't break when edited in with Edit Material Network LOP So far, here is what works and what doesn't : The mtlx files from GPUOpen work (don' t break on edit), but they don't have displacement. I don't see an obvious way to add displacement The mtlx files from, say ambientcg.com have displacement, but there are other problems: sometimes the displacement is made in an absolute direction (not in normal space, just world space), and you can't edit them easily, they break on edit, and you have to recheck some parameters in the network for it to work. Some other material definitions (in USDC from ambientcg ) create a material network made of USD Preview Surface / USD Texture and the displacement doesn't actually work.
