Flip Dop Source - How to add a velocity field?

Hi,

I use the Flip Dop Source Sop to set up my flip collision volume. Nevertheless it seems only to generate a surface volume even though the input does have a v attribute. How can I generate the velocity volume with it?

I don't think the flip dop source sop is meant for velocity volumes, I usually only use it for sourcing the particles, beause it generates a surface volume + particles.

There are multiple ways to generate a velocity volume in sops, for example creating points with a v attribute and volume rasterize attribute or with a bound, vdb and a volume vop. 

 

What do you want the velocity field to do in the sim?
