SpencerL
Im not sure if this is a bug or me not understanding something new in H9. I create a popnet inside my dopnet. Inside my popnet I create a Locator POP, it creates particles according to my details view but I get nothing in my viewport. If I do the exact same thing except create the popnet in SOPs then it behaves as normal and displays particles. Any suggestions? Im using version 9.0.734 on FC3 Edited October 9, 2007 by SpencerL
kai.scorpio
This is not a but as far as I know... I think the only way to make them show up is to import them with a pop solver and view that. Not to sure as I'm new at houdini...

Yeah, that seems to work but, to me, it doesnt really make sense to have to view a nested popnet through dops. I should be able to see it in the pop context. Viewing it through dops just means there is a couple more nodes to cook. if it isnt a bug, Im not sure why its setup this way. Any suggestions? Thanks

Any suggestions? Thanks hey guys, you don't actually need a pop solver to view a nested pop net in a dop network. just make sure that your *viewport* is set to particle view or context view (which will change it automatically depending on what network you are in)
