MPM Wedging

Recommended Posts

I wanted to test some attribute variations using Labs file cache wedging. I can get this to work with a pop solver, vellum solver etc. but doing the same method with an MPM solver causes an error, does anyone know how to solve this?

I have tried it in this screenshot with a simple switch  between 2 sources, but also tried with one source on the density attribute, neither works.

What is the error?

Can you post a hip file?

It works for me:

mpm_wedge_test.hiplc (i drive jitter scale in MPM Source SOP for testing)

Thank you Sipos, this is really helpful.

Your file worked for me so I tested the same setup on your file cache on the HIP file I was working on and it worked.

The only other difference from my initial test was I'd opened it on a different computer. It turns out it just isn't working with MPM on my second PC, assumed it was the version of Labs I was using but I've updated both and it still just doesn't work on that second PC so I'll have to do some testing.
