Tamis Posted October 27, 2007 Share Posted October 27, 2007 Hey guys, once more i need your assistence. i'm tryng to use the vex intersect on sop level to find intersections between neighbouring points. defenatly not the easy'st thing to do. now the first thing i noteced about the interscect node is that it needs a file. do i realy need to render my object out as a file ?? or is there a way around that ? secondly i want to add a point at the world position the ray intersects a primative. because i'm very new to vex i would like to know how to create a second input on a vop sop node and how to import the global variables for that sop. thank you, tamis van der laan. Tamis Posted October 27, 2007 Author Share Posted October 27, 2007 oke so i managed to get past the whole neighbor thing and now onto the actual ray casting with the intersect node. so i used a lookat node to calculate the direction to its first neigbouring point. but... it outputs a 3x3 matrix and i need a directional vector. but i can't seem to find a node that converts this ? dose anyone know a way ?
