darkchild Posted October 31, 2007 Share Posted October 31, 2007 hi. how would one create an ocean in houdini 9? im a little confused with all the fluid dynamics and everything. its all going right over my head!!i want to create a rain scene on the ocean. so far i have the rain but i need the ocean now and dont know how to go about it! MADjestic Posted November 1, 2007 Share Posted November 1, 2007 I would descourage you from using fluid sims for your ocean, except for very specific things. Browse the web for more information on this topic. Basically you should use wave and noise functions to mimic large ocean surfaces.
