Symbolic
Hi, When my wireless connection is enabled, and is connected to a wireless network... i get proper server codes from "sesictrl -n"... the license manager works fine... H9 runs fine... As soon as my wireless is down... I get a blank server code... the license manager reports invalid keys... the usual problems... Anyway for not being dependent on network activity? Thanks. H9 / Ubuntu 7.10 / MacBook PRO Edited December 4, 2007 by Symbolic

Symbolic
hey Symbolic!Haven't you got your answer on SESI? http://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com...pic&t=10362 Hey thanks for that... I know... But it did not work... The license manager is somehow dependent on the wireless... and I could not find a way to get other network interfaces be active... There are millions of commands used to add-remove-manipulate network interfaces under Linux... but all of that is just beyond my understanding. The only solution I found is... getting my friends computer (MacBook PRO-OSX) to broadcast a un-secured wireless network... and have my computer (MacBook PRO-Linux) connected to that network... then everything is fine... as soon as I disconnect... it is gone...
