takshaka
Hi, I have built a skeleton (geometry not bones) of a creature that I wish to build. I have set up all the pivots for the skeleton and now I come to rigging it. My question is this; since looking at the quadraped autorig videos, it seems a good idea to use the autorig to rig my creature. The fist step for me is to rig the skeleton. What woould be the best way to use the autorig to drive my skeleton geometry? bearing in mind i want the skeleton to rotate at designated pivots (i.e. i dont want it to break apart). Will i have to create a totally seperate rig that is in turn driven by the autorig? eventually i intend to use the skeleton geometry to deform the creatures skin. Will i end up having to replace the skeletons geometry with "rigid" muscles to do this or am i able to use the skeleton geometry to defom the skin. many thanks for any ideas..tak. edward
Only catching up on my odforce posts for a month now and came across this. How do you want your skeleton to deform the skin? I mean, does the shape of the skeleton actually matter?
