David Hale
This was previously posted on the SideFX Forums, here: http://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com...a5612b4a81ed472 I work in the systems office where we have Houdini 9 deployed to a large renderfarm; after upgrading all of our nodes to Houdini 9, it fails to render. We are running Houdini 9.0.782 on linux (Ubuntu 7.04). When running the following command: hrender -e -f 1 1 -i 1 -d mantra1 h9tester.hip The following error is returned: Unknown command: ndif However when running the command: hrender -d mantra1 h9tester.hip It renders fine, but this is useless to us since we require a frame range specification for our nodes. After digging into what was going on, the error seems to actually be outputting from hbatch-bin. While it's unlikely there's a quick fix for this (as it may actually be a problem coded into the binaries), I was mostly curious if anyone else has run into this problem, and if there is a solution available. Thanks.
stevenong
I think SESI has replied to your post with a workaround. Cheers! steven
