irm
Hi, I'm running Houdini Escape 9.0.794 on Fedora 6. When I try to create a POP Network at geometry level I receive the following error: --- Traceback (most recent call last): File "sop_popnet", line 3, in <module> File "toolutils.py", line 506, in new_func return function(*args, **kwargs) File "soptoolutils.py", line 492, in genericTool return toolutils.genericTool(scriptargs, nodetypename, nodename) File "toolutils.py", line 509, in new_func "Failed to modify node or parameter because of a permission " Error: Failed to modify node or parameter because of a permission error. Possible causes include locked assets, takes, product permissions or user-specified permissions. --- Can anyone offer a solution or suggest a course of enquiry? Any help gladly appreciated, thanks! michael
http://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com...&Itemid=270 POPs are in Master...not Escape so you can /use/ assets built in Master that have POPs in them, but you can't create/edit POPs in Escape. try the Particle SOP...it's quite good HTH
