illob32
Is it possible that some DOPS simulations aren't multi-threaded in Linux and therefore run slower than in Windows? I'm running Houdini 9.1.189 64 bits in Ubuntu 7.10 64 bits on a multicore machine and some of my simulations seem slow compared to when I run on windows...like a ball breaking with RBD Glue Object attached to it maybe it's all an illusion..... symek
maybe it's all an illusion..... You expected it to be a way faster, it's the same, so you feel disappointed . Reality + Expectations = Illusion sorry, I don't know anything about such slowdown, I've even heard that DOPs are faster on Linux x64 sy. Tamis
I'm running Ubuntu64 and DOPS is 10x faster then windows. But then again windows is running on 32.
