ragupasta
Hi all, I have a slight problem here with a rotation problem. I have a grid deformed into a oceanic type suface using sin/cos expressions. I have then setup a point in an addSOP and projected that onto the suface using a raySOP. That has been run through a copySOP and I have copied a boat geometry to the point. The boat moves across the suface as it should, but ignores any rotation that should be inherited by the deforming suface. Here is the .mov, .hip and .OBJ for the scene, (I modeled the boat in 3ds for speed, but plan on using H9 for the smaller things, including wireDOPS clothDOPS ect, ect). Also if anyone has any information regarding creating a foamy type ocean shader inside of VOPS, that also would be appreciated, my attempts up to press have been an epic fail TheFishyBoat.mov FishyWave.zip
petz
have you tried using an attribtransfer-sop? petz
ragupasta
Actually there was no need for a attrib-xfer, I missed the check-box inside the RaySOP for "Point Intersection Normal". Now it's working as it should. Cheers!
