I want to make each hair different intensity of diffuse(looks more natural) via hairid attribute. some code: surface newfur(xxx,xxx,xxx,int hairid = 0) { .... float randcolor = random(hairid); ... final_color = Ka * ambient() + Kd * diff()...... + randcolor; } it seems the hairid works global, not based on each hairid.......but this hairid works for the fur style cvex.
