v_m
Thanks Calin, A link would be helpful, thought I: http://vanillarigging.blogspot.com/ I think spines, or tails, ropes, etc, are among the trickiest thing to build, I'm still looking for a better spine solution, one that's more flexible/pose-able and doesn't flip. It would have to allow completely separate control and full rotation of each end, and each end should have a falloff in rotation and translation that leads not only to half way between the two, but all the way up or down, without affecting the end itself. I like to separate my upper body from the lower body, so that no matter what I animate on the lower body for example, the upper body stays absolutely frozen, and the other way around. Also, spines should rather stretch and not so much compress... not sure here, probably flexibility is the best, but a great spine should allow the animator to chose to disable compression, while allowing stretchiness.
