Method Vancouver Posted May 15, 2008 Share Posted May 15, 2008 (edited) Junior Pipeline Technical Director Division: CIS Vancouver VFX Reports To: Head of 3D and Technology Start Date: Immediately Responsibilities: Reporting to the Head of 3D and Technology, the Junior Pipeline Technical Director will be heavily involved in the creation and ongoing support of a large high-end visual effects pipeline and asset/project management system. This is a full-time position requiring some overtime. Duties: - Assist with the implementation of a pipeline and asset/project management system. - Problem solving and developing improved software systems and tools - Conducting research, designing and implementing, testing and optimizing production pipeline tools - Design, develop, and maintain proprietary scripts used in production. - Acquire and maintain up-to-date knowledge in the relevant fields Qualifications: - Good working knowledge of Python and HTML/Javascript required. - Excellent problem solving and communication skills. - Linux knowledge and scripting experience required. - OSX knowledge and scripting an asset. - C++ experience an asset. - Experience with SQL databases an asset. - Undergraduate degree or a diploma in Computing Science, or related disciplines an asset. - Must be Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
