scp
Hi all I've got an animation of an object growing which has been key framed. If I want then to use this deforming geometry as a rbd object to break through a wall for instance, is this possible? I have tried numerous things and the fracture or glue objects just seem to react completely uncontrollably; springing off etc.. If anyone could help it would be much appreciated Thanks Simon
GallenWolf
You got an example file somewhere? It is possible to a deforming object to do that, you may want to goto the RBD solver and increase the min/max substeps, as well as to enable use point velocities for collisions (or was it sdf collision velocities?) If you only need say part of the object to burst through, consider using stand-in rbd object, then use the RBD State DOP to keyframe the animation, or use a point expression to pull the animation of one of the points to drive the animation of the RBD Object. The reason for the instability is that the collision SDF generated changes every single frame. GW
