august
This should be so simple, but for the life of me I can't figure it out. I have a sphere that passes through a grid. I don't want it to collide. A second grid below should collide with the sphere. How do you set this up? The no collide dop help isn't very helpful, and none of the "examples" listed actually use the collider label/no collide nodes. The help says, "Object B gets the special collider label of "object b". Is this referring to setting the Data Name of the collider label to Object B? Or the collider Finder Label? Thanks for any help.
august
Heh, I always figure this out right after I post. I attached a file that works, but I'm still unclear how houdini knows what's going on. collision_layer.hip
stevenong
You can use Merge DOPs to setup the behaviour too. I've modified your file. Cheers! steven collision_layer_with_merge_dop.zip
