It is driven by primative and point expressions which I think may be the problem. In the example hip file I can transfer geo1-2 with out maya crashing but when I try geo's3-4 maya crashes. It also crashes if I bake the animation out as $F.bgeos and then read it back in before exporting as fbx. Any ideas? sanman Posted July 31, 2008 Share Posted July 31, 2008 Hi Ed. I tested your file, and it worked for me (using geo3). I wrote the animation in bgeos, I imported the animation back into Houdini and I exported the FBX and it seems ok when I import it into maya. Make sure you have FBX version "FBX200900" installed both in maya and houdini. A lot of bugs were fixed in that version.
