Symbolic
Hi, We have been trying to export a Houdini camera to FBX... to be used in 2D / Comp (Flame)... We have successfully exported our Camera to Nuke... but this was done through channel files. When we try to export to FBX... Houdini always crashes. What might be a solution for that? Maybe: Houdini -> Maya -> FBX? But how to get the Houdini camera into Maya? The Houdini camera is controlled by several Nulls (which might make things complicated)... but as I said we have successfully exported it to Nuke through CHOPs.... Cheers. Jason
Which version of 9.5 are you using? I've seen some fixed to camera export go through the Journals lately.

Jason
Hi Jason,It is 9.5.196. Thanks. Did you see this entry? Perhaps it might work better now? Houdini 9.5.197: FBX exporter now correctly exports animation channels specific to lights and cameras when these have pre-transforms applied to them. Similarly, vertex-cached objects with pre-transforms are now also exported correctly.

Symbolic
Hi, Still no luck with the FBX export... using 9.5.202... I select my camera... it has "chop" function reading TX TY TZ RX RY RZ information from a *.bclip file... which should not be a problem. So it has TX TY TZ RX RY RZ transformations happening. When I export it as an FBX file... and read it back as an FBX file... it does not have any of the animation happening in the channels... only one single value... Everything seems fine in the FBX export box... frame range etc. any ideas? Thanks.
