Fluid and RBD problem

Hi,

I going thru CmiVFX Fluids right now and I have a little problem. It seems that I'm doing everything like Brian in video but my RBD object is still ignored by fluid.

Maybe I'm missing something but I don't see it.

Anyway, here is the HIP. (Houdini 9.5.202 x64) HELP !

Yeah, works now.

The problem was in Merge4 node. The fluid should be on second input.

But in Brian video RBD object reacts in some way even when fluid is on the first input.

Hm, Strange.

EDIT:

Well, another problem, RBD Object on video after colision with fluid start to slide, while my teapot stands still even if I reduce his weight to 1 Kg like in video.

Any Advice ?

mmm,

I hope i didn't miss that in the video

But regarding ur file, the fluidforce2 DOP, had the default operation set to "Set Initial", change that to Set Always

I then set the scale up a bit - to 10, and the mass of the teapot to 1, (not density).

This got the teapot moving,

Once again, sorry if there are/where any confusions.

Regards

Brian

:whistling: Looks that I missed that you bumped up the scale - it should be 200 <_< .

Fluid force is set to initial in the video too.

Thanks.
