e=mc^2
hello, I have a problem with a simple simulation of a chair which is being breakdown. Some parts of the chair after impact behave as a single object and should strongly as a few (are connected with each other but physically apart). And the second problem with rbd autofreeze, if it is connected to the chairs it falls apart after a while. first problem you can see with "chair_alone" node enabled and second problem with "back" and "seat" nodes enabled sorry for my english simple_explosion
Div
haven't houdini in front of me so can't take a look at your file... Are you sure that your chair's parts behaving like a single object aren't part of the same group ?? if it is , you should delete all your groups, add a connectivity sop, then a partition sop and use as a rule $CLASS ......... e=mc^2
I have connectivity and partition sop and chair's pieces are not in the same group
aracid
hey MMM, it looks like ur scene was in a good place, the glue threshold is a bit high, i dropped it way down just to get rid of any pieces that stuck together even after the point of collision. i also reverted back to chair_2, because that had more distinct groups as apposed to chair_1, because that only had a couple of groups. have a look at the file chair.hipnc
e=mc^2
the problem was only in glue strength ? I thought that the problem is more complicated thanks:)
