Guest xionmark
Hello, Is there a way (perhaps with "hotl"?) to find out in an OTL/HDA was created with an Apprentice version of Houdini (and thus crippling a Master license). I resorted to clearing out my $HOME/houdini/otls dir and by trial and error move everything back until the offending file was revealed. Would have been nice if I could query thst info from the OTL before running Houdini. Is there such a command? Perhaps it's in tucked in hscript somewhere? Thanks! michael
there should be a hidden, default, un-editable parameter that says Master, or Apprentice ...so you can just query it and know....

Hi Michael, Are you saying it's there already or that it should be there? If it is there now, where can I find it or what is it named? Wolfwood
There isn't one AFAIK. All apprentice otls and hips get tagged. You should be able to grep for the string NON_COMMERCIAL_FILE!!! grep -R 'NON_COMMERCIAL_FILE\!\!\!' *.otl
