rob
As an example I have 100 objects brought into DOPs as a RBD glue obj . I have then split the 100 objects into 3 groups. I am confused as to how I am supposed to apply new data to these groups which will override the data from the original rbd glue object. I did think it would be as simple as creating a state node , giving it the group name for the data to be applied to. Then using an apply data dop to pipe it into the tree . Thus the new data being piped in would take over. Unfortunately I'm quite wrong. It would be great if somebody could clearly explain how I can add / override data on Dop groups of objects from the parent rbd glue object , as I am stumped ! I have attached a scene with a group DOP. According to the help I can use local variables to then filter down my selection another level. I have tried using an expression $CR. which did not seem to work does this mean the group dop can only filter using dops expressions like dopfield ?. I am interested how I could apply new data to a group that would override the initial values in the rbd glue obj.
